University Transfer

Purpose:

To transfer funds to a university department.

Example:

Co-sponsoring an event with an academic department that covered event costs.

Required Documentation:

An invoice from the university department or an event flyer for co-sponsored events.

Notes:

- Only use this to transfer funds to a university department.

- If your group expects to receive funds from a department, contact O’Neal Patrick at opatrick@sse.stanford.edu for further assistance. Do not use this information for any other kinds of transfers. For more information on PTAs for other types of transfers, please contact O’Neal.

How to Submit a University Transfer

1. Log in to granted.stanford.edu

Use your Stanford credentials to access the Granted platform.

2. Select "Transfer" on the top tab

Once logged in, find and click the "Transfer" option on the main navigation bar at the top of the page.

3. Select "New Transfer Request"

In the Transfer section, click the "New Transfer Request" button to initiate the process.

4. Choose the University Transfer Type

5. Fill Out Transfer Information and Start Transfer

Select Send to the University, and provide the PTAE #, Department Name, and Approver Name, along with a description of the reason for the transfer.

6. Fill Out Transfer Lines

Enter the transfer amount and line description, select the document type, and enter the distribution account. If you need to transfer from more than one account, you can add another row and attach the same documentation. The total of the entire invoice needs to be the same in the Transfer Line(s) Amount Total.

7. Submit the Transfer Request

Review your information and submit your transfer request for processing.
