Event Food : 2920

Covers meals, snacks, and food-related supplies for VSO-sponsored events open to all Stanford students. No funding is provided for invite-only or member-only events. Aim to minimize costs and follow the Cardinal Green Events checklist when planning. Listed below are line items and instances in which you can apply for funding with the Event Food account.

Note: GSC does not fund VSO specific meetings (officer meetings, exclusive member meetings, etc) and faculty/staff attendance must be less than 10%. No funding for alcohol from UGS for undergraduate VSOs/events.

- For any VSO-sponsored event.

- Meals (including non-alcoholic beverages): up to $20 per student per meal.

- Snacks: up to $8 per student per event.

- For multi-day events, up to two meals per day subsidized, maximum of $40 per day per person.

- Default calculation uses snacks if not specified in the GrantEd application.

- VSOs should estimate the number of attendees.

- If food costs exceed $500, a quote is required.

- Covers supplies like paper plates and plastic utensils.

- Included in the per-person food cost based on attendee estimation.

- Beverages with any alcoholic content.

- No funding for alcohol from UGS for undergraduate VSOs/events.

- Graduate students may use ASSU funds for alcohol.

- Graduate VSOs can request alcohol funding within the event food per person allocation.
