Honoraria: 2900

Payment for one-time or short-term services by non-VSO vendors. VSO leadership cannot be paid for regular activities. Listed below are line items and instances in which you can apply for funding with Honoraria.

- Hire someone for a speech or performance.

- Not applicable for university faculty or staff (can give a gift instead).

- Target of $10 per student attendee; event must be open to all Stanford students.

- Cannot combine with Gift line items.

- If exceeding $10 per person, VSOs must provide a quote.

- Covers payment for services like coaching or photography.

- Exception: Athletic coaching managed through the Athletics Department.

- For speakers at events.

- Cap of $50 per unpaid University affiliate speaker.

- Must follow University's administrative guide policy on gifts.

- If paying a Speaker's Fee, gifts cannot be funded.

- Covers travel expenses for VSO guests (e.g., event speakers).

- Use this line item instead of the general travel line item for VSO guests.

- Accommodations capped at per diem rates for Palo Alto/Santa Clara County.

- Target cap of $500 per person for total travel & accommodations.

- A quote for lodging and airfare is required for funding consideration.
